Machine & Assembly Shop Inspector
Summary
We are representing a world leading aerospace manufacturer. They design, test, manufacture and assemble landing gear used on commercial aircraft. As a Machine & Assembly Shop Inspector, you will be operating in a variable environment with tight deadlines and changing demands.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect complete gears, assemblies, detail components and other parts included in the Spares inventory. First Off, and Final View Inspection of internal ensuring they are to the required high standards.
- You will inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers, with a full understanding of AS9102 FAI requirement’s. ASMEY14.5 2009 and ISO1011 2004 standards.
- Issue release documentation in accordance with company procedures and EASA regulations – Training will be provided
- Adhere to H&S regulations / duty of care
Candidate skills and requirements:
- Ideally you will have a Modern Advanced Apprenticeship – Level 3; however we will also consider applications form those with a level 2 or 3 equivalent qualifications or significant experience – If you do not have a level 3 qualification, we will support you to complete an NVQ Level 3.
- You must have previous experience of operating in a manufacturing environment. • The ability to implement and follow inspection processes.
- Ability to understand quality issues and determine suitable outcomes via reasonable analysis
- Working knowledge of EASA Part 21 Subpart G incl. AMC & GM or willingness to train to obtain necessary regulatory signatory status.
- Use of eLearning will be pre-requisite to gaining a stamp & signatory.
- Customer centric approach
- Willingness to work flexibly and be adaptable to the operational needs of the business environment
- Good interpersonal skills are necessary as effective communication is required
- Experience in rigging and slinging to allow for the removal of heavy crate lids and positioning of parts – training can be provided
- Ability to produced required volumes of Quality Documents to high standards • Capability to follow detailed procedures
- Experience in detailed examination of parts, identifying any faults or misalignment from specification
- Ability to work autonomously and or in a team environment
- Comfortable for working towards / to KPIs
- Working with movement equipment, e.g. pump trucks
- Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations
