Process Technician
Summary
The Process Technician is involved at all stages of the manufacturing process, monitoring and improving the areas under your control. Your job is to know this process in great detail, as you will identify when the process is deviating from the norm, then take action to correct it (or involve senior members of staff if you are not able to correct the problem). For this role, you will maintain accurate and clear documentation, proving that that processes are being carried out in line with internal and external regulations. It is important that procedures are followed, but it is also important that it can be shown and proved that procedures were followed. A Process Technician is also responsible for gathering data from processes enacted. then reporting it to senior staff members (typically an Engineer).
Responsibilities:
- Problem solving to ensure production can carry on
o Root, Cause, Corrective Action (RCCA)
o 5 WHYs - Process audits
- Statistical Analysis
- Process Improvements – Scrap / Rework / Downtime / Productivity
- Creating and maintaining documentation & specifications
- Training and validation
- Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
- CNC machining experience, ideally with Haas, Fanuc, Mazak or Okuma controls
- Dependable, responsible contributor who is committed to excellence and success
- Good interpersonal skills (team worker)
- Prepared to follow procedures
- Target-oriented; diligent; keen eye for detail
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering, Manufacture or equivalent
- GCSE – grade C or above in Maths and English Language
Working Hours:
Plus overtime when available
A: Monday to Thursday: 6am to 1:35pm and Friday: 6am to 12:45pm
B: Monday to Thursday: 1:25pm to 9:05pm and Friday: 12:35pm to 7pm
C: Monday to Thursday: 8:55pm to 06:10am and Friday: No shift
