Scientific Application Scientist

Our client is a full-service peptide development and manufacturing company headquartered in North Augusta, South Carolina. In addition to our USA headquarters, we have manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Shanghai, China. They have a global sales team working together from around the world.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role involves maintaining a thorough understanding of the company’s capabilities and peptide related projects, keeping up with peptides in preclinical and clinical stages. It includes finding and developing new customer leads from various sources and supporting the sales team in qualifying leads.

It requires engagement with potential clients to understand their needs and identify market trends for peptide CDMOs. The role also involves representing the company at scientific conferences, speaking events, and trade shows.

Additional responsibilities include supporting sales, marketing, and project management activities, helping prepare marketing materials (presentations, whitepapers, blogs, etc.), managing website and social media content, and assisting with trade show planning and execution.

This role doesn’t require you to have performed these duties previously, more that you have a willingness to learn. The team you’d be working with are great. They would teach you the ropes, and you would shadow them to get up to speed with what they expect of you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain a current understanding of APi’s capabilities and capacity.
• Maintain awareness of all peptides in preclinical and clinical development and respective companies.
• Identify and develop new customers from sources such as marketing, databases, publications, market analysis, trade shows, and more. Help sales team in qualifying leads. Enter new leads into SalesForce along with updates and distribute to sales/BD team.
• Engage with potential clients to better understand their needs and more broadly the market needs for Peptide CDMO’s, determine, and track future trends.
• Represent AmbioPharm in scientific conferences through speaking events and conference attendance.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of sales, marketing, and project management skills and techniques and provide sales and marketing support as needed by APi.
• Assist marketing in preparation and execution of marketing materials such as presentations, brochures, whitepapers, blogs, webinars, and more.
• Assist marketing with content for AmbioPharm websites and social media as needed.
• Assist marketing with selected trade shows, be prepared to fulfil booth duties at shows, and assist in coordinating trade show planning and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A PhD
• Entrepreneurial outlook
• Self-starter, individual contributor, and team player.
• Excellence in Oral and written communication skills.
• Inquisitive passion for peptides chemistry and clinical application.
