  • Works according approved documents (Job cards, SRM, AMM, EO’s, IPC, etc.);

  • Reports presence and working time according company policies, and keeps an overview over section;

  • Manages his personal hands-on training logbook and maintains his personal training records;

  • Reports any safety, risk or paper discrepancies to superior;

  • Supervision and training of apprentices;

  • Perform borescope inspections and Engine run-up and any other specialized tasks according to authorisations and received training;

  • Leading of relevant section;

  • Manage housekeeping in assigned area/section;

  • Supervise/monitor time stamping (clocking on job cards);

  • Any other task commensurate with the role.

The ideal candidate for the position of B1/B2 Aircraft Engineer/Mechanic should: 

  • Have successfully completed a technical qualification or equivalent;

  • An EASA Aircraft Maintenance License with Type A320 FAM endorsement;

  • Have good leadership skills;

  • Be able to work to tight and changing deadlines;

  • Have good reporting skills.

It would be ideal if the B1/B2 Engineer/Mechanic also has:

  • Experience in heavy base maintenance;

  • Provide direct program management functions including OEM relationship management.

Forming part of the Support Shop team, the Sheet Metal Worker carries out maintenance tasks on aircraft structural elements and components, according to one’s current authorisation level. Tasks will mainly consist of inspections, damage assessments, performing damage repairs, and engaging in component or part replacements and in the embodiment of aircraft modifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform inspections, damage assessments and classifications, damage repairs, component/part replacements and embodiment of aircraft modifications according to his/her current authorisation level and sign-off privileges by;
  • Correctly identifying of structural parts/elements;
  • Correctly defining nature and type of damage taking measurements as necessary;
  • Determining if damage is within or exceeding allowable/repairable limitations after comparing established data against criteria provided in technical documentation;
  • Performing necessary repairs (including fabrication of repair parts as necessary) or preparing a damage assessment report (supporting the Technical Reporting Officer);
  • Replacing effected damaged parts;
  • Carrying out Repair Instructions as provided by the respective OEM;
  • Note: all of the above being carried out using the relevant approved Repair Manuals, Drawings/Technical Instructions as provided by the OEM.
  • Take up responsibility of an “aircraft zone/section” including leadership of other Permission Level 2 and Level 1 Sheet Metal Workers assigned to work with him/her in that respective area;
  • Ensure an efficient workflow during the respective ground time input by;
  • Overseeing that clocking of job cards is done correctly;
  • Ordering repair parts and materials in a timely manner
  • Distributing resources effectively

  • Support the respective Bay in accomplishing the ground time input according to milestone plans/work schedules (including closure of job cards in a timely manner);
  • Support the assigned Permission Level 2 and Level 1 Sheet Metal Workers in any technical matters that may arise during the respective ground time input;
  • Raise, update and complete/close routine and non-routine job cards by;
  • Signing off of work performed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that assigned Permission Level 2 and Level 1 Sheet Metal Workers sign off their work in a timely manner;
  • Note: ensuring the above is carried out according to SRT qualification profile and sign off privileges.
  • Prepare and report job status during handover at the end of shift;
  • Adhere to company procedures, maintaining Safety and Quality standards at all times, reporting any discrepancies to respective Manager/Team Leader, generating SMS reports as necessary;
  • Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment according to in house 5S principles, including proper usage of tooling;
  • Maintain and carry out regular tool box inventory checks;
  • Manage and maintain one’s personal logbook and training records;
  • Perform other tasks commensurate with the role.

  • Possess adequate work experience in sheet metal or in a similar industry;

Forming part of the Paint Shop, the Aircraft Painter carries out paint repairs on aircraft external and internal components which include preparation of parts, sanding and paint removal either by chemical or mechanical means, and final application of paint as necessary either by brush, roller or spray gun. The role also involves the reading and understanding technical drawings and the applicable approved maintenance data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read, understand and work in accordance with the applicable and approved maintenance data such as but not limited to SRM, AMM, IPC, applicable drawings, Engineering Orders, Job cards, etc
  • Repair and maintain aircraft cabin parts and components
  • Performs inspection, repair and refurbishment work in the cabin and all interior equipment
  • Replaces carpets and in-lays
  • Support technicians in all removal and installation of cabin equipment except electrical lighting devices
  • Maintain tools, equipment and workplace in a serviceable condition and checks for completeness after each maintenance task according to company standards
  • Be aware of the expected quality standards of the work performed
  • Use IT systems to perform tasks such as looking for approved maintenance data, clock on job cards, etc.
  • Reports presence and working time according to company policies
  • Manages his/her personal hand-on training logbook and maintains his/her personal training records
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician performs functional checks, inspections, repair modification work as well as component replacement based on current authorisation level and sign-off privileges.  The Technician will support in the completion of a check and raise repair tasks cards accordingly.

  • Maintain one’s personal tools and check for completeness after each maintenance work;
  • Work according to approved documents (such as Job Cards, Maintenance Manuals, Engineering Orders, Service Bulletins and IPC);
  • Manage one’s personal hands-on training logbook and maintain one’s personal training records;
  • Support in the education and mentoring of apprentices;
  • Any other task commensurate with the role.

QUALIFICATIONS & ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience as an aircraft maintenance technician in an MRO
  • Completed a technical qualification or equivalent
  • Having an ATA 104 Level 2 Type Rating for the Airbus A320 FAM will be considered an asset
  • Basic B1/B2 EASA Licence (required)
